Mrs, Bharathi Wijeratne, Sri Lanka Ambassador in Ankara, Turkey concurrently accredited to Georgia presented Letters of Commission to the newly appointed Hony. Consuls for Sri Lanka in Turkey.
Adnan Polat - Consul - Marmara Region, Istanbu
Besir Ugur - Consul - Mediterranean Region, Adana
Guven Guzelbey- Consul - South Eastern Anatolia Region, Gaziantep
Oguz Akcura -. Consul - Aegean Region, Izmir
All four (04) Consuls are prominent business personalities from Turkey. The appointments also come at a time when Sri Lanka - Turkey relations are developing with multifaceted bilateral relations being further strengthened.
