Thinetha TV Launches New Website

A newly launching satellite transmitted television channel of Sri Lanka “Thinetha TV” has launched their official website www.thinetha.tv last Wednsday at the Ministry of Mass media & information.

Ministry secretary Dr. Charitha Herath, Director General of Department of Information Prof. Ariyarathne Athugala and Director of Department of Information Wasanthapriya Ramanayake graced this occasion as chief guests.

Launching the website Mr Rohan Weliwita, chairman of Thinetha TV and also a senior journalist in Sri Lanka said that the objective of Thinetha TV is to promote patriotism and to inform the development activities taking place in Sri Lanka to other countries.

Addressing at the launch, Dr Charitha Herath, stated that the requirement of a necessity of a TV channel of this kind and he further wished all the success for Thinetha TV.

Renuka Balasooriya, Sunil T Fernando, V. Sivadasan, Janitha Marasinghe was some popular individuals who were present at this event.

Thinetha TV will start their transmission soon and will be telecasted to 116 countries around the world.
