Pakistan Army gifts six horses for equestrian training

The Pakistan Army in response to a request by the Army Commander Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya, gifted six horses to the Sri Lanka Military Academy at Diyatalawa.
Brigadier Indunil Ranasinghe, Commandant of SLMA, on behalf of the Commander of the Army, received the gift from Colonel Sheharyar Pervez Butt, Defence Attaché of Pakistan High Commission in Sri Lanka on Monday (13) at the Lake View Equestrian Centre in Hokandara.
The horses are scheduled to undergo quarantine procedures before they were to be used for equestrian training.
The Army Commander had brought to the notice of his Pakistan counterpart non-availability of horses for equestrian training for the military graduates when the latter graced the passing out parade at the SLMA in Diyatalawa. The Pakistan Army has gifted these horsed in response to the Commander's request.
