Susanthika elected to AAA Women's Committee

Sri Lanka's 'Sprint Queen' Susanthika Jayasinghe has been elected to the Women's Committee of the Asian Athletics Association (AAA) held on June 30 in Pune, India.

Also the former Sri Lanka Athletic Association Secretary G.L.S. Perera has been elected to tthe Cross Country & Road Running Committe of AAA..

General Dahlan Al-Hamad of Qatar has been elected as the 6th president of the Asian Athletics Association while Maurice Nicholas will continue to be the Secretary-Treasurer.

The former President Suresh Kalmadi of India was ousted on Monday after he lost his re-election bid 18-20 to Al-Hamad.
