Macrae can now tell the truth on Sri Lanka – Media Minister

The permission f or Callum MaCrae of the British television service "Channel 4" was given to cover the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting to display to the world about the democratic political system and the media freedom existing in Sri Lanka.
This journalist who discredited Sri Lanka in so many ways undermining the liberation gained by Sri Lanka defeating terrorism could now see for himself the real situation existing in Sri Lanka.
This was stated by Minister of Mass Media and Information at a media conference held in his ministry yesterday. The Minister said that Callum MaCrae has got the opportunity now to tell the truth to the world. The minister said that the government expects that he will make use of this opportunity.
The minister further stated that however, if he is going to present to the world concocted untruth about Sri Lanka the government is prepared to face such charges as well. (niz)
