Southwest monsoonal winds expected

There will be showers or thundershowers at times in the Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces. Several spells of showers will occur in the Western province and in the Galle and Matara districts.

Thundershowers will develop at places in the Uva and Eastern provinces during the afternoon or evening.

 Fairly strong winds can be expected along the western slopes of the Central hills at times. There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers, the Met Dept. forecasts.

Sea Areas

 Southwest monsoonal winds will be strengthening at times over the island and especially along the western slopes of central hills.

There will be showers or thundershowers at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts.(KH/SI)
